General
Q: How do I update the content in my website?
A: You will need to log in to your website, using the log in and password provided to you. For more detail on how to modify particular sections, refer to the DNN Administrators manual.
Q: What if I don’t want to edit my own site, are you able to do the editing and updating for me?
A: Although we provide mostly websites where the client can manage their own content, we are also happy to provide websites where we do any necessary modification to the website. See our Custom Development section for more details.
Q: Can I add or remove modules to my site, for example can I get a Basic site and add a Gallery or News Module later?
A: Yes, you can add and remove modules at any time from your website. The costs for adding a module are listed in our Get Online section. Once installed, a module remains installed on your website, but if you don't want to use it, you can choose to remove it from any pages it appears on in your website. You can choose to add the module again to your pages later at no cost.
Q: Is there a limit on how much traffic my site can use?
A: No, although we reserve the right to put limits on any site that has an impact on our network that is significantly greater than other sites (see our Terms and Conditions and Acceptable Use Policy).
Q: How long will it take for my website to go live?
A: The time it takes to get your website up and running depends on a number of things, including the complexity of the site, domain registration or transfer, complexity of design, and the amount of content you would like us to populate for you. In the case of Ecommerce websites, bank approvals and setting up payment connectors can also add to your timeframe. In most cases, D.I.Y or Basic sites can be up and running within a week of us receiving your full instructions. By comparison, an Ecommerce site will usually take several weeks. See our Website Setup page for more information on going live.
Financial
Q: Can I make part payments towards the cost of my website?
A: If you are unable to pay the full cost of your website creation initially, we can initiate a repayment schedule (subject to certain conditions). However, all hosting and domain related costs must be paid as they are invoiced - there is no repayment schedule available for these costs.
Q: What are your payment options?
A: See our Payment Information section for details on how to pay us.
Ecommerce
Q: Can I get an Ecommerce site without having a merchant account?
A: If you wish to receive online payments through Paypal or from credit cards, then you need to have a merchant account, an account with DPS, and you will need to go through an approvals process with your bank. If you wish to have a site where people can see, and potentially order, your products, but there are no online transactions occuring, then you do not need to have a DPS account or a merchant account with the facility to process online transactions.
